Job description: Destinationone Consulting is looking for a Construction Manager for our client in Vancouver, British Columbia.

About Our Client

The client is a construction company specializing in outstanding quality properties with innovative and distinctive designs. It is based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

About the Role

As Construction Manager, you are expected to manage upcoming wood frame projects.

Responsibilities

• Tendering, negotiation, preparation of contract documents including detailed scopes of work and contract administration

• Early review of project drawings for constructability, value engineering, coordination, and quality assurance

• Compliance with company policies and jurisdictional authorities including adherence to codes, by-laws, and safety standards

• Development of project schedules working closely with site staff in maintaining timelines and milestones

• Ongoing oversight of contractors/trades to confirm requirements are being met while maintaining a professional relationship

• Directing and coordinating consultants

• All aspects of obtaining occupancy

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Be able to work with little supervision

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager

• Must be a strong communicator

• Must be willing and able to mentor younger staff
