My client, an innovative business leader across Canada, is looking for a Construction Manager to join their team. The Construction Manager will oversee the design, construction, and administrative responsibilities for all new locations and renovations to existing locations. You will bring a deep level of experience in tenant improvements as well as bigger project management. The ideal candidate for this role will be a natural leader with an analytical mindset and have excellent problem solving and judgement skills.

What the Construction Manager does:

  • Leads the design, construction, and administrative responsibilities for multiple projects
  • Provides design supervision and sourcing support for international markets
  • Sources new equipment and design elements to complete image evolution
  • Oversees construction schedules, permits, approvals, and project budgets
  • Coordinates design, engineering, construction, transition to operations team, unit opening, and deficiency completion
  • Monitors and reports on progress throughout a project lifecycle
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to employees and conducts performance assessments
  • Ensures building codes and safety guidelines are adhered to

What is expected of you:

  • Previous experience in a Construction Manager role specifically commercial construction with an emphasis on retail.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple complex projects at once
  • Strong understanding of CAD and Adobe
  • Proficient in various Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent leadership abilities with strong planning and execution skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
