A day in the life

  • Manage projects including project team direction, coordination, monitoring schedules, and budgets
  • Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
  • Assign, direct, and review work undertaken by staff to ensure that projects and submittals are completed to a high degree of accuracy
  • Project management responsibilities including financial, schedule, and scope management of projects
  • Manage staff for technical project activities, assist with staff development, and provide input and recommendations relative to staff needs, performance, and remuneration
  • Liaise with clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering and Project Management
  • P.Eng (Ontario) designation
  • Professional Project Manager (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Strong project management, technical and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of Commerical Contracts
  • Strong technical writing skills; experienced in the preparation of correspondence, reports, and proposals
  • Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Strategic, analytical and practical thinker
  • Credible knowledge of relevant municipal, provincial and design standards
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Expected salary: $75000 – 140000 per year
