The team:
You will be part of the Resiliency Analytics team within the Global Technology Risk and Resiliency group. Our mandate is guiding technology teams within the bank to create and sustain resilient solutions for our customers and business partners. We gather, interpret and present data insights at all management levels including the board and external regulators to reduce risk and increase capability.
The role:
Reporting to the Sr Manager, the Data Analytics Development Specialist (DADS) will be a senior technical contributor to the overall success of the Global Technology Risk and Resiliency Team (GRRT) by ensuring goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. The DADS conducts all activities in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
The DADS develops and maintains data analytics solutions for technology Risk and Resilience. They will also complete engineering and architecture deliverables and provide technical consultation and direction to team members. The scope includes windows/web-based applications, complex workflows, automation scripts, ETL solutions, executive dashboards and much more. All solutions will be expected to follow technology policies, processes, and procedures. The role will also provide use cases and requirements to feeder-systems so that they may capture data for use by the Global Technology Risk and Resiliency Team

- You have a strong analytical skillset to quickly determine, identify root cause and fix issues.
- You have good understanding of scripting languages.
- You are curious and have a business mindset when developing technology solutions
- You are enthusiastic and open to learn new technologies.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- You have a post secondary education in a technology related discipline.
- You have 3+ years experience as a senior data engineer / designer / architect that involves performance tuning of both online queries and data driven ETL (extract, transform and load) processes.
- You have 2+ years experience and are proficient in creating meaningful reports on MS Excel, PowerBI, DAX, Power Query.
- You have 3+ years of development and maintenance experience in data driven solutions including Data modelling, Database design, Business Intelligence, ETL and Data visualization.
- Your technology stack includes strong experience with most of the following: C#, SQL / SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), SSRS, SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Visual Basic, Power BI, XL Macros, and other scripting languages. Python, Hadoop, Hive and R are assets.
- You can lead through the SDLC and have 2+ years experience with Agile methods and tools.
- You have experience with code repository, version control and code promotion tools such as Git/bitbucket and Jenkins
- You have 3+ years of working experience in writing requirements, architecture documents, or other governance documents associated with application management.
- Your written and spoken English is above average and includes the ability to synthesize complex ideas from various sources.
- You have 1-2 years of predictive analysis and machine learning.
- You can troubleshoot business intelligence modeling issues and develop solutions.
- The following skills would be an asset to your success in the role
o Experience with open-source data integration platforms like Airflow, NiFi
o Experience in storing, manipulating and integrating NoSQL data to BI reporting.
o Experience with Azure cloud platform.
o Experience with Dash/Plotly.
o Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM solutions.
o Proficiency in Spanish.
