Job Description

Ubisoft Entertainment is looking for a Data Scientist working on Ubisoft Store and e-commerce marketing solutions such as recommendation systems and audiences’ segmentation. You’ll be part of the worldwide Data Science team among the Data Office Department with a full dedicated support of Data Developers. Position is based in Montreal, but part of the team and clients are also in San Francisco (US – CA), Cary (US – NC) and Paris (FR).

Ideal candidate has a strong background in mathematics and is familiar with computer science and big data Machine Learning problem solving. Proficiency in Python or Scala with Spark language is required.

What you will do

  • Envision new solutions in collaboration with multiple business clients and partners (CRM, media, licensing, sales, e-commerce and finance) for personalized players solutions
  • Improve and optimize our in-production ML solutions with the team help
  • Develop new smart solutions prototypes
  • Collaborate with other Ubisoft data stakeholders (IT, Analytics, Developers…) to ensure the feasibility of your solutions
  • Scale and automate your codes with the help of the Data Developer team
  • Promote our solutions and make them easy to understand and use, thanks to presentations, dashboards, documentation, UI…
  • Support your team with new ideas especially on more exploratory projects like Attribution or NLG (Natural Language Generation)

Qualifications

What you will bring

  • Strong background in mathematics and statistics
  • Passion in the gaming universe
  • Proven track record working in a role of Data Science outside of internships
  • Proficiency working with Python or Scala and Spark or similar languages
  • Experience in SQL HiveQL and Big data handling
  • Machine Learning knowledge
  • Very good communication skills in English and French
  • Sense of business perspectives and priorities
