Job description: Job Overview The Developer Analyst role, focused on our Marketing and advertising platforms, is responsible for data tracking, data capture, and processing data for analysis using measurement model. Other activities include developing new segmentation tactics and supporting marketing channel operations through data extensions. Finally, the role supports driving operational support across our audience data through partner exchange, data mining activities, exploratory data analysis and supporting other digital direct marketing activities. Key team alignments with the Developer Analyst role include eCommerce teams, marketing operations, and digital architecture and data science teams to drive successful implementation of marketing service projects. Responsibilities: Assisting users in accessing and interpreting their data and providing reports that support their business needs Developing Use cases and functional requirements to support Digital Direct Marketing activities Develop test cases and participates in functional and system testing across new Data Platform releases Supporting Marketing technology and data engineering with data extensions required in our Marketing cloud platforms. Perform Project-related and Ad-Hoc (Data) Analysis – Including Deep-Dive Analysis Help Business Partners to Access and Understand Our Data and Measurements Drive data quality metrics and ensure Data Accuracy and Resolve Any Data Integrity Issues Communicate Data collection Issues or Report Disruptions to Business Partners Work with Business Partners to Prioritize Work and Provide Estimates Provide preliminary in-house product support, escalating queries to vendors as needed Providing digital analytics/reporting support for all Digital Direct marketing activities. Ensuring requirements for business metrics are captured and supported within requirements Assisting in translating Data Business Requirements into Technical Requirements Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented and able to work independently Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or closely related field 3+ years in Data Analyst role working with marketing, consumer or retail related data Experience with Marketing cloud platforms. Specifically, Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Experience extracting data from Marketing databases based on segmentation and other criteria requirements in support of marketing campaigns (email, direct mail, 3rd party advertising platforms). Experience with data collection and interpreting data; analyzing results. Reporting results back to members of the business Experience in identifying patterns and trends in data sets. Working with business teams to new data collection and analysis processes. Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies. Proficiency in SQL development. knowledge & expertise with Python, Spark, Shell scripting ETL development experience with large-scale DBS or big data systems such as Hadoop, Big Query, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, etc. Data mindset: understand and be passionate about data models and correctness An obsession digging into all aspects of a data pipeline to ensuring all data is correct at every stage Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that can multi-task projects while keeping organized Ability to communicate well with the Data Engineering team and BI teams.
