The DevOps Technology Manager will lead a team of Operations Engineers who work with our Development Team and are embedded within various Product Streams, they will spend most of their time supporting the team through our processes for delivering releases or changes into production and handling operational issues that arise. They will also be providing active coaching, feedback, and mentoring to the Ops Engineers that they support.
As a DevOps Technology Manager you will…
Participate in the various SCRUM/Agile ceremonies of the Product Streams your Ops Engineers are most active in
Support the Teams within the Product Stream with impediments, roadblocks, procedures, etc… to help the Team keep work going
Partner with our Software Development Managers, Product Owners, Service Managers, and other Technology Managers to align on operational priorities and needs
Co-Lead the Community of Practice for Operation Engineers alongside other DevOps TMs, identify gaps in community or discipline standards, and develop countermeasures or opportunities to address these gaps
Lead the development of standards and best practices across the Ops-community
Interact with Senior Leadership on topics like production health, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities

The experience we need…
3+ years of experience as a direct or indirect People Leader in a software related industry
3+ years of experience within Software Development as a Software Engineer or Operations Engineer
Experience working within an Agile and DevOps environment
Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Lead hiring and onboarding for new team members to ensure they are set up for success
Drive team engagement activities and contributes actively to building a culture that aligns to Best Buy values
