PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for developing, delivering and monitoring integrated digital strategies and tactical plans that align with Galvion’s corporate objectives. As a key player in the Marketing team, you will work with various stakeholders across the organization (Management, Product team, Sales, HR, etc.), as well as external partners (digital, PR, etc.), in order to generate and distribute content that is consistent with our brand, as well as develop paid campaigns to meet goals. You will take ownership of Galvion’s social media channels and campaigns, from planning to content creation to analysis to optimization. Additionally, understanding consumer behavior, and remaining mindful of industry changes, emerging trends and best practices, are all vital functions of this role.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

People:

  • Work with wider Marketing team on the creation and execution of digital marketing plans to achieve goals that support key product launch plans, communication campaigns, various marketing projects, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, develop digital content and manage scheduling across channels, while keeping Subject Matter Expertss (SMEs) across the organization on track for timely production of deliverables.
  • Work with Director of Marketing & Communications to develop yearly budgets in order to meet corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Manage external digital agency relationship with the goal of constantly enhancing content, maximizing UX experience, and general maintenance of corporate website, including e-commerce marketplace.
  • Provide support to, and coordinate with, outside partners including PR, Video production, and other creative partners as needed.
  • Work with other internal stakeholders to execute any email campaigns, surveys, etc.

Process:

  • Develop and curate content across all digital channels
  • Establish content planning, production, distribution and reporting system.
  • Plan, develop and execute digital marketing (web, SEO, SEM, e-marketing, display, referrals, collaborations and social media advertising) with a strong analytics perspective to ensure customized campaigns, with optimized messages are delivered to the right audience at the right time across the right channels.
  • Support other marketing or corporate communications initiatives as required (Intranet, newsletters, webinars, presentations, etc.)
  • Leverage available tools to analyze data, map communications and messaging along the customer journey in order to build effective engagement strategies.
  • Recommend and implement automations that help to ensure timely and relevant communications across platforms.
  • Monitor digital trends, experiment with and recommend new digital tools enhance customer experience, drive engagement and action, and cultivate brand value.

Performance:

  • Manage, track and pivot spending on quarterly basis to meet corporate goals, while maintaining budget.
  • Recommend and establish a list of benchmarks and relevant KPIs against which to measure success across channels and platforms.
  • Analyze and report comprehensive analytics/results to internal stakeholders in a timely manner with actionable, data-driven recommendations to expand, sustain, alter, or end campaigns and initiatives.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or similar.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
  • Excellent written skills, a high level of digital savvy and a keen analytical mind required
  • The ability to generate creative ideas, coupled with sound editorial judgment.
  • Broad range of experience and knowledge of content creation, generation and marketing, digital media, digital marketing platforms and best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns (Familiarity with SEO tools such as MOZ or Similarweb, AdWords, Facebook and Instagram Ad Manager, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Working knowledge of web analytics; competency with standard performance metrics in digital marketing and reporting formats in various digital channels. (Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools and Google Search Console)
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) like Shopify an asset.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo, MailChimp or Bronto an asset.
  • Working knowledge of web design and graphics principles (HTML, Photoshop, InDesign) a plus.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work.
  • Knowledge of or interest in Defence/Military a plus.

Work Environment (include physical requirements)

  • Office environment, some repetitive motion & period of prolonged sitting is required.
  • Some travel may be required between Galvion facilities.
