Our ideal candidate is a confident leader and collaborator with extensive background in accounting, tax planning and preparation, audit analysis and FP&A. Relevant experience is a must, but more important will be your passion and attitude.

As the Director of Accounting and Finance, here’s what you will do:

• Provide oversight of day-to-day financial operations including general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, annual audits, regulatory reporting, and cash management activities.
• Provide supervision as needed to accounting staff including hiring, providing professional development, training, and initiating corrective action if needed.
• Manage timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounting results and related financial reporting through the close and consolidation process.
• Lead the relationship with our independent auditors and manage the annual audit process.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce technical accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and other rules and regulations.
• Lead the implementation of new FASB pronouncements, including ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
• Recommend accounting treatment for complex transactions (e.g. revenue recognition, M&A, collaboration transactions).
• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, and enhance internal controls.
• Oversee compliance and filings for all areas of tax, including corporate income and sales tax.

What We are Looking for:

• Strong financial and accounting background, including experience preparing consolidated financial statements for private and public company
• Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong background in tax and audit
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility
• Ability to proactively identify and solve problems
• Attention to detail and highly organized
• Unquestionable integrity and judgment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while still being a reliable team player, and exhibiting good independent judgment
• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize teams and resources to accomplish these priorities.
