Salary: $90, 000 – $140, 000

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an exceptional Director of Information Technology with a background in network engineering to build and grow a secure, dynamic and scalable IT environment across the group. Our business is going through rapid growth and it is essential that our network, systems, hardware and IT processes keep pace.
We are looking for an outgoing, highly motivated individual that will work with the team to lead the planning and execution of our client’ s internal IT strategy.
The successful candidate will be integral to delivering on our client’ s strategic vision and growth plan. This role will report directly to the organization’ s executive leadership. We are looking for someone who thrives in a high performance culture and is eager for work that is both challenging and constantly evolving.
The company is a remote-first workplace; however, this role will have specific responsibilities that would require in-office attendance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Network Development & Maintenance
- Provide network support in all areas of the corporate office & cloud network environment including VPNs, firewalls, routers, and wireless access points.
- Lead information security risk analyses and assessments and use these to clearly communicate current risk posture to leadership.
2. Software / Systems Selection & Management
- Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvements to our technology and deployment process, staying up to date with the latest development tools, technology ideas, patterns, and methodologies.
- Approve, coordinate and control all projects related to selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major systems for the group.
3. Oversee the Escalation & Management Process for IT helpdesk solutions
- Manage front line staff assisting users with IT issues and overseeing the escalation and resolution of critical incidents, requests, accesses, and problems.
- Strategically develop & enhance the helpdesk function to improve organizational performance.
4. Develop, Document & Present the IT Strategy
- Develop and manage a top tier IT team that aligns with and facilitates scaling of the group.
- Enhance and implement information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure optimal management of Information Security risk.
- Develop, enhance and maintain operating and strategy guidelines, plans and presentations relating to the group’ s IT environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: * Bachelor’ s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a technical lead or similar management role.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering IT business solutions, with a solid understanding of the needs of a rapid growth stage company.
- Minimum of 5 years of network engineering experience designing, building and configuring network infrastructure.
- Expertise working on web-based applications.
- Adaptability to multiple operating system & server environments.
- Familiarity Apple & Mac ecosystems.
- Virtual machine & server environments also include Windows & Linux, with multiple cloud based server hosting services.
- Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and threat-risk assessments (assessment and remediation).
- Experience performing in depth network, system and application performance troubleshooting and protocol analysis.
