The Information Technology team is responsible for the experience, design, security, implementation, and infrastructure of end-user computing, collaboration technologies, cloud, and data center. Specifically, this team is constantly envisioning how to use technologies, platforms, and cloud services to enable a digital transformation for our team members to collaborate effectively and work with others – wherever and whenever they need to. This is an exciting time to leverage the power of technology and bring true our vision of the Connected Virtual First teams to serve our customers. The possibilities are endless for a technology enthusiast who is full of ideas and the delivery-focused mindset to execute them!
As the Director, Information Technology, you will plan the roadmaps and lead a team of technology experts to develop and implement technology solutions that support new and evolving services for CaseWare. You will lead the team to leverage a user experience first strategy and cloud-first architecture to enable new features and services for team members. Guided by DevOps and cloud-native approaches, combined with a deep understanding of technology and architectural roadmaps, you will define priorities, map deliverables, and strengthen our culture of reliability by design. Your thought leadership, early recognition, and translation of emerging trends will position CaseWare as a leader in employee engagement and collaboration.
❗ Please note. The successful candidate should be located in GTA (Greater Toronto Area) as they will have to come into our Toronto office once in a while.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the organization through technology transitions to keep systems relevant and current
- Lead transformational programs that improve the collaboration technology experience aligned with the needs of a modern virtual & global workforce
- Define and implement the strategic planning of technology-related assets as well as Security first best practices
- Ensure organizational technologies remain relevant for business needs while aligned with employee requirements,
- Establish best practices related to ITIL, ISO27001, and CWI ISMS program
- Provide accountability for technology governance, compliance, and risk management
- Perform budget planning and manage the allocation of expenses for organizational systems, project requirements, and department resources
- Build partnerships with internal leaders in the business to understand and deliver on technology-related requirements,
- Lead and support the technology team in the ongoing delivery of systems, updates, processes, and activities towards technology goals
- Oversee the coordination of new organizational technology initiatives, adhering to budgetary goals and timelines
- Guide the internal organizational cross-functional team related to technology planning, review requirements, and decision-making,
- Lead technology-related change management activities
- Act as a “hands-on” resource assisting your team and adjacent teams in troubleshooting complex problems and incidents impacting collaboration technologies and services
- Present and effectively communicate project execution, program status, and/or issues to key stakeholders, including executives

- Recognized as a people leader who coaches and develops team members to build high performance and team engagement
- Valued for their years of experience in Information Technology operations
- Respected for your extensive experience with cloud-based technology solutions such as AWS, Google Workspace, Slack, O365, and inTune.
- Noted to have a deep understanding of IT operations best practices, including ITIL, network, and security fundamentals
- Known to have strong project management skills and a track record of successful project execution
- Skilled at translating business needs into technical solutions while challenging the status quo
- Well versed at utilizing processes improvement frameworks and methodologies to simplify complex problems and processes
- Sought out for your analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making to identify and resolve conflicts, issues, and problems (people, process, and technology)
- Known to be a strong communicator who inspires and influences others with an ability to tell the story to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
- Located in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area)
