The Position
Reporting to the VP Finance, the Director of Operations will lead Intellijoint’s Operation team. They will be responsible for all operational activities including but not limited to sales and operations planning (S&OP), capacity and production planning, purchasing, receiving, manufacturing, shipping, new product introductions (NPI), supplier management, and field inventory management. They will have the opportunity to identify and drive the right priorities that will transform the company’s processes as we scale!
As a snapshot, we are looking for someone who will embrace all facets of Operations:

- Maintain the right inventory balance.
Main Duties:
- Plan, monitor, manage, co-ordinate and support all operation functions to ensure performance meets company needs.
- Thoughtfully identify, prioritize and drive process improvements that will generate efficiencies and position the company for scale. Ex. field inventory management, S&OP, distribution and NPI.
- Implement systems and tools that help the operations team efficiently achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with the commercial excellence, quality, finance, and sales teams to develop and maintain the right solutions for tracking field inventory, and sales demand and operations planning.
- Find the right balance of minimizing inventory on hand while ensuring we can meet our sales demand.
- Develop and maintain a strong supply chain of the company’s key components.
- Responsible for facilities management.
- Own the budgeting and cost reduction initiatives of the company’s inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Lead, develop and maintain a high performing operations team. Motivate and coach the team to achieve their goals.
- Oversee the maintenance of all material related records required to support ISO13485 Quality Management System.
- Drive analysis of KPIs to inform better decision making. Recommend and manage implementations of process improvements.
Skills and Experience to Enable Success:
- 10+ years of operations experience required. 2-3 years experience in a similar leadership role.
- Experience working in a medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDD/MDR, etc.) is an asset
- Experience implementing an ERP or inventory management system preferred
- Comfortable solving problems collaboratively within uncertain and complex environments
- Strong leadership skills and willing to roll up your sleeves to drive results
