Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new Connected platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ’s data and insights to innovate and grow.
As a Technology Director, you will lead the delivery of critical program(s) / project(s) that are strategically aligned to business strategy and objectives. You are skilled in delivering business outcomes using cloud-native technologies including Azure ML, Python, Redis, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Jupyter, Spark and other Data Science tools.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provides program delivery and end-to-end management of large scale business impacting initiatives both directly and through management of a global Technology team
- Support and lead technical conversations, including architecture review, code review, and drive SDLC process as required
- Leads team(s) of technology employees through programs and projects that create, enhance or maintain applications, platforms, and/or technology systems and processes.
- Engages with business leaders and clients to understand business needs and translate these needs into executable solutions.
- Works with their leadership as needed to manage expectations, requirements gathering and RFP process for large scale initiatives and programs.
- Establish strong relationships with key internal Clients, CoEs and other business stakeholders and create convergence by demonstrating credibility, empathy and expertise on business and technical issues.
- Manage, coach and development of Full Time team(s)
- Aid with driving program and/or business unit financials
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in computer science or similar field required
- 15+ years, including strong Engineering background with Architecture / design experience
- 7+ years experience leading large scale technology teams
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Python, Spark, SQL, Java, micro-services, big data technology, data modelling, distributed multi-tier sytems.
- Ability to design, manage delivery, and lead teams through the execution of a project
- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance, scalability and availability
- Excellent experience in designing and building multithreaded distributed systems
- Excellent experience in leading teams in agile software development practices including test-driven development and DevOps
