Mission
In order to deliver several diversified projects in building engineering, our Structure team in the Ottawa/Gatineau region is looking for a junior technician with a facility in using REVIT and AutoCAD software.
As a junior drafting technician in building structure, your mission will consist of participating in structural design activities and producing drawings in compliance with CIMA+’s high quality standards.
You will be involved in various regional and provincial projects of small, medium, and large scale in the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.
Working in collaboration with the other members of the team, you will be able to rapidly evolve in an environment where empowerment, self-reliance and trust are strongly encouraged.
Primary responsibilities
- Actively participate in the design and production of drawings and specifications for building structural projects.
- Develop and prepare models and structural drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD software (wood, steel, and reinforced concrete frameworks)
- Coordinate structural drawings with various disciplines
- Collaborate with the concept and design team
- Carry out on-site data collection
Profile
- College degree (DCS) in civil engineering, architecture, or an equivalent
- Interest for commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial structures
- Advanced practical knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD software
- Knowledge of standards governing structural design
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling – BIM (an asset)
- Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)
