Auxillary Early Childhood Education (ECE) Instructor

Duties: The Early Childhood Education specialty is designed to give training and education to individuals who are interested in providing high quality childcare and education in a variety of settings for children from birth to age eight. In the Early Childhood Education specialty, students have the opportunity to continue their education utilizing two study methods, face-to-face and online. The program combines theoretical and practical components in each semester so that students can apply their knowledge in supervised hands-on practice in approved settings.

Qualifications: A current BC Registry’s Early Childhood Education Certificate is required along with a relevant Bachelor’s degree. Current and considerable work experience in the field is required. Experience teaching adults in face-to-face and online settings is a definite asset along with formal credentials as an instructor of adult learners. Candidates will need to have excellent communication and recording skills, be able to work with minimum supervision and be resourceful and flexible in meeting adult learning needs.

Successful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.

Salary: As per the Faculty Salary Schedule.
