Job Purpose

The rapid digitization of marketplace is creating the need to accelerate and reshape the ways of working and technologies used to enhance and stay competitive to be relevant and successful. eCommerce is not a channel; in fact, it is just a future state of business. This position will play a key role in accelerating the digital transformation across brands and customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Determining the company’s e-commerce goals and KPIs.
  • Identifying key areas for improvements, with respect to each Strategic eCommerce Pillars
  • Monitoring and analyzing e-commerce metrics and figures.
  • Transforming e-commerce data into operational insights.
  • Researching competitors, alternative markets, and opportunities in the e-commerce space.
  • Brainstorming ideas to enhance and transform the company’s e-commerce approach.
  • Developing e-commerce solutions in conjunction with marketing, sales, supply chain, SRM and IT personnel.
  • Implementing broad e-commerce strategies to assist our business development goals.
  • Reporting and acting on changes and market trends. Staying close to the changing shopper behavior, leading panel studies.
  • Future proofing the business in a data driven manner
  • Advising various business stakeholders on e-commerce related matters

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or data science.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in digital economies and e-commerce.
  • In-depth understanding of web-analytic tools, such as Google Analytics, Heap, Oracle, Power BI and OWOX BI.
  • Experience with Predictive Analytics tools like Tableau
  • Experience with Digital Shelf Analytics platforms like EDGE, Profitero, e.fundamentals, Salsify Insights etc.
  • Knowledge with various Canadian retailer data sources
  • Knowledge of important e-commerce terminology and measures.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and technically minded.
  • Proficient in various data analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Able to orient data analytics insights with the end-user in mind.
  • Professional, punctual, and goal-driven.
  • A team player with great communication skills.
  • Familiarity in setting up APIs can be a value add
