In this role you will design, develop and deliver a range of online and e-learning technologies in Fraser Health. Your enthusiasm will assist you when connecting with employees as you assist them with all education enquiries.

Position Highlights

Bring your resourcefulness and demonstrated experience in instructional design and curriculum development to a role where you can really make a difference! As an Education Consultant you will work with key stakeholders and the team to assess, design, deliver, implement and evaluate, maintain and market/communicate education and online/e-learning educational materials that support the strategic priorities of the Fraser Health Authority and achieves effective outcomes.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Coordinates and leads the consultation with internal and external stakeholders/clients to conceptualize, assess, design, development, delivery, test, and evaluate education using online and other e-learning modalities. Ensures quality, consistency and learner-centered education. •Reviews e-learning requests, assesses under existing criteria, determines appropriate priority and makes decisions or recommendations on how to schedule the work based on those priorities. Determines appropriate work assignments and provides work direction to the online learning team to schedule work to be done. Follows up and raises issues with the Leader as appropriate. •Offers assessment of the learning situation, advice, and problem-solving for complex challenges in identifying the most effective mode of educational delivery. •Utilizes best practices in educational learning theory and instructional design methodology suited for online course development. •Identifies learning objectives and develops resource estimates to meet project goals. •Coaches and supports subject matter experts in the appropriate writing format for an online environment and course curriculum. •Reviews and edits incoming content from subject matter experts to ensure that it follows the appropriate instructional design template. Proofreads and edits for clarity and correct grammar. •Develops guidelines, structures and processes for online learning. •We are looking for you to have:
  • Master’s in Education or related discipline with specific courses in adult education and/or e-learning/online educational design, •Three (3) years’ recent related experience in education, in a complex health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
