Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems for space within Honeywell Aerospace. As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will work in a small cross-functional team of Mechanical, Electrical, Optical and Systems engineers collaborating on the design, development and implementation of space science instruments, technology and missions. A broad spectrum of electrical elements for critical subsystems, and full instruments with electronics and mechanisms will need to be assembled, integrated, and tested

JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Generating the manufacturing plans, assembly and test flows, identify critical GSE, scheduling and budgeting
  • Support the development and build of hardware that is driven towards lower cost and higher volumes, in particular the related test equipment
  • Supporting proposals, costing and planning of projects
  • Mechanical shock, vibration and thermal testing of equipment
  • Development of documentation for the build of assemblies
  • Develop and review test procedures and generate test reports
  • Support electrical and mechanical integration activities
  • Low level and high-level testing of electrical, mechanical and optical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software bugs,
  • Support facility and lab maintenance
  • Maintain clean room standards

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Post-Secondary education in a Technical field
  • 5 – 7 years experience in an assembly, integration and test role within Space or other Hi-Rel industry
  • Experience in one or more of the following: RF, digital, and/or analog testing

  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team in a hands-on role with a specialty in electrical/optical hardware design development
  • Energetic, self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Experience with electrical design, industrial design, cleanroom work
  • Passion to develop solutions and troubleshoot problems.
  • Developing hardware for space and similar harsh environments.
  • Electrical hardware and test equipment design, build and test experience
  • Experience with software coding and debugging. LINUX
  • Environmental testing experience (TVAC, Vibration, Shock).
  • SAP or similar business software
  • TeamCenter or similar PDM experience
