Position Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, Farm Associates are instrumental in the growth, harvest, and handling of each crop. They will be working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plant bulbs and seeds
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
• Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
• Report signs of insect or disease damage
• Apply fertilizers
• Clean work area
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Harvest crops
• Visually inspect and handle fresh vegetable/fruit; grade by identifying different ripening stages, sizes and classification and package according to Company specification
• Communicate frequently with team lead; report quality issues, damage, shortages of product or packaging
• Comply with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures; ensure standards consistently meet expectations

Requirements

• Being comfortable with heights
• Able to operate in various temperature conditions
• Perform routine tasks that may involve handling heavy loads that are physically demanding
• Strong attention to detail
• Hand-eye coordination
• Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Non-smoking

*Bonus Terms:

• Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts. Additional terms and conditions may apply.
• Farm Associates must be employed at the time of the payout
• Payouts will occur in 2 installments, $250 payable after 30 days and $250 after 90 days.
• If at any time in the process you are either voluntarily or involuntarily moved from this shift, site, and start date, you would no longer be eligible to receive the applicable pay rate, sign-on bonus or incentive
