This position is a maternity leave coverage.

Position Description:

Reporting to the Finance and Supply Chain Leader, the temporary Finance Analyst (Payroll) will support internal and external stakeholders with financial support related to finance and payroll. This position is responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions for multiple locations across Canada. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: weekly payroll processing, monthly financial reporting, account reconciliations, day to day invoicing, and other miscellaneous tasks as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of daily and weekly postings to the General Ledger (GL) including but not limited to accounts payable voucher batches, invoicing, deposits, inventory distributions, and required journal entries.
  • Completion of weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Completion weekly cash flow projections.
  • Preparation of monthly reports to Local Operations Leaders, Senior Leaders and other internal stakeholders as requested.
  • Verification and processing of accounts receivable collections and deposits.
  • Liaise with 3rd party payroll company and provide all information required to enact weekly payroll.
  • Responsible for all daily, weekly, monthly and yearly payroll processing, remittances, reporting, journal entries and reconciliations
  • Stay abreast with provincial and federal regulations as they related to finance and payroll obligations to ensure overall compliance.
  • Acts as back-up support for accounts payable clerk.
  • Demonstrates Cam Tran’s core values in daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Commerce, Accounting, Finance or
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) or working towards completion of designation as a CPA.
  • Five years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and demonstrated ability in Excel and manipulating spreadsheets
  • Experience using accounting software applications such as: SAGE, Industrios and Clarity.
  • General Understanding of Lean principles and how it applies to the manufacturing environment.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Asset:

  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Accounting experience in a multi-provincial environment is an asset.
