Job Description & Summary A career in our Financial Operations practice, within Finance Consulting services, will provide the opportunity to work alongside CEOs, CFOs, controllers and treasurers to optimise the structure of their finance functions and improve their contribution to the business. We support our clients by addressing the challenges of achieving appropriate standards of control, efficient back office opportunities and support to the business through insight and challenge.

Our team helps clients transform their finance function by executing strategies to reduce functional and operational complexity through streamlined processes, optimise d use of technology, and efficient use of resources to deliver cost effective, high quality services to all stakeholders.

What you’ll create and do

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Team with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Consulting services

Participate in and lead aspects of the proposal development and writing processes

Lead the delivery of small to medium scale Finance Transformation engagements, including

Finance technology enablement for Planning and Budgeting or Financial Consolidation tool implementations

Financial process analysis, design and implementation

Performance management optimization (i.e. reporting and analytics, planning, budgeting & forecasting, etc.)

Support the delivery of large scale Finance Transformation engagements led by Finance Transformation Directors / Partners

Support the engagement director / partner in managing engagement risk and project economics

Prepare, review and ensure engagement deliverables meet PwC and client quality expectations

Perform role of coach and actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities

Develop new skills outside of comfort zone

Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively

Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development

Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct

What you’ll bring to this role

A considerable amount of professional Finance experience

Consulting experience is an asset

Experience with Enterprise Performance Management implementation initiatives and projects (e.g. Anaplan, Onestream) is an asset

Understanding of financial applications (i.e. GL, consolidation systems and Business Intelligence systems)

Working expertise or strong understanding in many, if not all, of the core Accounting areas:

Performance Management – management reporting, planning, budgeting & forecasting, analytics & decision support

Record-to-Report – financial close, consolidation, financial reporting, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Payroll

Order-to-Cash – order entry, customer credit, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections,

Procure-to-Pay – procurement, accounts payable, invoicing

Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the core back office accounting areas (see above) in either a consultant or internal role

Demonstrated project management skills
