Le ou la gestionnaire du contrôle financier soutient, guide et dirige toutes les activités de contrôle pour ZIM Canada et ZIM Logistics. Il ou elle pourrait également superviser les opérations de créditeurs courantes et piloter des projets d’amélioration des processus. Le ou la gestionnaire du contrôle financier est responsable de préparer les états financiers externes en IFRS, les prévisions et budgets annuels, et les rapports de gestion. De plus, il ou elle sera responsable de la conformité financière et de la gouvernance générale chez ZIM Canada. Le ou la titulaire du poste devra gérer et encadrer une petite équipe.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Controller participates, guides, and directs all controllership activities for ZIM Canada and ZIM Logistics. He/She may also oversee accounts payable day-to-day operations and lead process improvement projects. The Controllership Manager is responsible for the timely and successful preparation of external IFRS financial statements, annual budgets and forecasts and management reporting. In addition, he/she will be responsible for the financial compliance and overall governance at ZIM Canada. The role requires the management and coaching of a small team.

Main Tasks:

• Prepare or guide the preparation of annual IFRS financial statements for ZIM Canada and ZIM Logistics Canada.
• Oversees the external annual audit and the preparation of tax filings and the communications to our external auditor.
• Lead the adoption of new IFRS standards.
• Prepare or guide the submission of monthly, quarterly ad annual reporting to the head office, including the submission of management results, financial analysis, annual budgets, and forecasts.
• Assess the control environment of the organization to ensure the maintenance of a solid control environment and the financial compliance of the agency.
• Monitor the financial performance of the organization and take timely action for escalation and resolution of under-performance

Exigences:

• Diplôme universitaire ou équivalent, de préférence en comptabilité ou en finances
• Titre de CPA
• Cinq ans d’expérience ou de formation pertinente, ou combinaison équivalente d’études et d’expérience
• Bilinguisme
• Connaissance de SAP, un atout

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting/Finance
• Designation of CPA title
• Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual
• Knowledge of SAP, an asset.
