The Opportunity

You will be a pivotal team member of our dynamic and talented group of professionals. Reporting to our Management team, this role will be responsible for overseeing all of our financial needs including Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Financial Analysis, and SaaS KPIs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead & manage cash flow, budget & scenario planning
• Identify, measure, analyze and report on monthly SaaS KPIs
• Ensure the accuracy of financial and SaaS metric data
• Extensive scenario modeling to drive strategic decisions on topics ranging from pricing to cash impact from changes to subscription terms, product development investment ROI or changes in EBITDA based on different department spend/revenue strategies
• Perform financial analysis to support major initiatives and investment decisions that will lead to increased profitability and long-term value creation
• Handle client, vendor, and bank relationships
• Facilitate purchase requisition and expense review & approval
• Execute strategic projects (eg: due diligence, fundraising requests) following C-Level guidance
• Update, maintain and improve various financial and operational models. These include but are not limited to Financial P&L, Utilization dashboard, profit by person, etc.
• Conduct frequent one-on-one budget reviews with department managers
• Manage accounting and finance-related technology from QuickBooks
• Lead financial planning: create annual and multi-year budgets, maintain updated forecasts and accurate cashflow reporting, establish financial policies
• Provide insights, cost studies, and financial expertise to help company leaders develop long-term strategies
• Work with business partners on business cases, prepare 5-year forecasts on the product investment plan, pricing, and research on GTM options
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested
• Review and ensure payroll compliance while acting as a backup to payroll processing
• Ensure tax compliance by performing detailed reviews and preparation of periodic returns. (T2, Sales returns, Payroll taxes)
• Work with an external accounting firm with tax planning and identify and explain tax implications of decisions made by the organization.
• Lead annual SR&ED filings process

And how do we know that’s you? You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Mathematics
• B2B SaaS industry experience is an asset
• CPA, MBA, or any other accounting designation
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience with a minimum of 1 year in a management role
• Experience with international accounting (multi-currency) is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with effective written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), must be technology savvy
• Quickbooks Online experience preferred
• Detail-oriented and a strong leader
