Job description: Robert Half Accounting & Contract is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join a reputable organization in the Vancouver Island, BC area. As Finance Officer, your duties will include preparing monthly closings, reconciling bank accounts, bank entries, bank deposits, and general ledgers. This is a is a fully remote, temporary contract opportunity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Month-End Financial Procedures
- Depositing cash and cheques
- Processing, documenting and reconciling credit card transactions.
- Liaising with the payroll department to manage payroll deductions
- Monitoring and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Conducting transfers and journal entries of funds
- Ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
– 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
– Excellent attention to detail
– BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
– Journal entries and month end close experience preferred
-Experience with Razors Edge and Sage preferred
– Practical knowledge of bank and account reconciliations
– Microsoft Excel experience
– Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
