The Group Retirement Administration Rep is the liaison between The Co-operators Life Insurance Company (CLIC) and Associate Customer Service (ACS). This role utilizes pension knowledge to ensure appropriate record keeping on behalf of members and Sponsors by the outsourced solution for record keeping. The role participates in the first tier of call resolution for all Wealth Group clients, and is the contact for administrative issues requiring investigation and resolution.
How you will create impact:
Receives and processes client deposits for RRSP and pension groups.
Ensures pre-authorized debit (PAD) amounts are accurate and withdrawn in a timely manner as per finance guidelines.
Process payments for members on LTD and retiring allowance payments.
Processes withdrawals, forfeitures, transfer statements and payments.
Investigates and responds to general inquiries from employers and members regarding group retirement accounts, escalating to Sales & Service personnel as appropriate.
Creates, reconciles and reviews reports for accuracy and reasonableness.
Coordinates Annual Information Returns and maintains and reports on unclaimed property.
Prepares files requested by internal and external audit to ensure compliance and adherence to service standards.

To join our team:
Completion of some post-secondary courses including Benefits, Investments, and Pension Plan Administration with 2-3 years of experience in employee benefits, payroll management, or pension plan administration and investments.
CEB or CEBS certification.
LOMA AAPA designation is preferred.
