Job description: Position: Hospital Security Guard

Hourly Pay Rate: $17.15

Location: 365 West St, Simcoe, ON

Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday/Thursday 7pm to 7am (Continental rotation based shifts)

You can help make hospitals a safer place for kids, families and staff. We are currently hiring a full time Hospital Security Guard for an assignment within the health care environment in Simcoe.

What does a Security Guard in Simcoe do?

• Patrol inside and outside the hospital to ensure the safety of people and property and the maintenance of order
• Be stationed inside the vaccination area to watch over the storage room doors ensuring they are always closed and secure if there isn’t an authorized hospital employee occupying the room.
• Any/All discrepancies (I.e. power outages, staff access after hours to freezers) all are to be recorded within the GardaWorld notebook
• Observe and report to Hospital Management any possible health concerns regarding the members of the public waiting in the room
• Perform escorting duties when deliveries are being received or shipped out of the Hospital
• Conduct regular access control, ask to see the persons Hospital ID card before entry and document the name, time and date of the employee entering the vaccination storage area
• Ensure that all standing orders and regular operations are completed on time
• Write daily reports and incident reports

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Simcoe

• Valid security license
• Ability to interact with a diverse clientele
• Have a keen sense of observation and responsibility
• Demonstrate professionalism at all times and exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate good judgment and team spirit
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
