The Court of King’s Bench is the Superior Trial Court for the Province, hearing trials in civil, family, divorce, surrogate and criminal matters and appeals from decisions of the Provincial Court.

Role

The Information Technology Trainer is responsible for the design, development and delivery of all technology related training to the judiciary and staff of the court of the King’s Bench. The Trainer is responsible for identifying and developing targeted training as required, to provide end-users support, tools and ability to apply technology efficiently and effectively.

Your key responsibilities include but not limited to are:

  • Planning, designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating effective IT training programs, e-courses, and training & learning tools to ensure end users have the skills and knowledge to effectively utilize available technology.
  • Providing expertise and proactive consultation with court operations and IT in planning training initiatives to ensure course content, materials and tools are current, reflect changing needs, relevant and in place when required.
  • Providing consultation, advice and guidance regarding adult learning and training philosophies, principles, methodologies and tools to ensure training initiatives utilize the most effective best practices in meeting the training requirements.
  • Delivering and managing IT training to end-users ensuring cost effectiveness, and consistency in the training and achieving learning outcomes.
  • Proactively developing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide relevant current and future training.

Knowledge and abilities in ideal candidate:

  • Application of technology to business process
  • Designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training initiatives .
  • Different training delivery methodologies, emerging methods, and training technology and tools.
  • Written skills for the purpose of developing training, supporting documentation, material, and tools
  • Communication skills for the delivery of focused and specific training.
  • Ability to identify training requirements and develop targeted training and supports.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work within timelines.
  • Project Management Skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in team environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • University Graduation in related field.

Preference will be given to those with the following:

  • Related post-secondary education in the field of education or adult education.
  • Related experience in demonstrating training skills related to IT.
  • Previous experience in introducing IT projects in businesses.

Equivalencies will be considered on the basis:

  • one year of directly related experience for one year of education or
  • one year of education for one year of experience.

Salary

$2,281.95 to $2,993.39 bi-weekly: ($59,559 to $78,127/year)
