Job title: Instructor, Early Childhood Education & PLAR

Job description: The Instructor will play an important role in the recruitment and evaluation of the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) process for Early Childhood Education Level 1 Programming. The Instructor will also be responsible for delivering up to 3 courses of ECE Level 1 programming. Responsibilities include:

-Recruit students for the PLAR process through community engagement and direct contact with ECE Centers in the province
-Instruct three Early Childhood Education Level 1 courses: Communicating with Children and Guiding Children’s Behavior, Introduction to Pay, Health, Safety and Nutrition
-Prepare lesson plans and appropriate delivery methods, following the curricular outcomes provided
-Use appropriate methods of facilitation, modeling, and coaching to facilitate learning
-Create and maintain all course-related materials including evaluations, attendance records, and course evaluations
-Create and maintain a creative and positive learning environment that provides the opportunity for meaningful learning and skill development
-Network and build relationships with appropriate employment agencies, networks and employers in the community

This position will work remotely and may have irregular working hours during the evenings and weekends.
