Mission
Working alongside your IT/Logistics colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring technical and business support to Trading, Middle Office, Tech & Ops, Compliance and Finance teams. Additionally, you will assist in the support of office business applications and systems. Maintenance of servers, telephone systems and videoconference systems are also part of IT/Logistics’ responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure IT infrastructure, facilities and security operational readiness;
- Provide support for the ”workplace” environment in a broad sense (PCs, virtual machines, laptops, phones, mobile solutions, printers, Windows OS, Office Suite, etc.);
- Maintain various documentation (system flowcharts, network diagrams, contracts, procedures, inventory, etc..);
- Install, administer and monitor application servers in collaboration with head office specialists;
- Participate in technical projects and deploy the corresponding solutions in coordination with Corporate IT & Logistics specialists;
- Liaise with building staff to resolve tenant issues (HVAC, cleaning, security, etc…);
- Prepare the annual IT & Logistics budgets and review monthly invoices, ensuring adherence to the budgets;
- Support the MTL Trading desk, liaising with external vendors, to ensure smooth operational flow.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting all aspects of a trading desk;
- Experience in the banking or other financial services company would be an asset as would past experience as a manager of a team.
- Diploma/degree in Computer Science or related discipline Excellent troubleshooting skills;
- Strong skills in Office products, especially Excel and Access;
- Experience in scripting language, particularly Python;
- Communicates in a structured, clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing, in both English and French;
- Is a results-oriented individual who uses a variety of resources effectively;
- Possesses good organization skills, handles multiple and shifting priorities well, manages time and stress effectively;
- Flexibility in work schedule (occasionally outside regular business hours), customer service orientation, Is open to robotization and process improvement;
- Displays a sense of initiative, enthusiasm and is good team player.
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
