Job description: We are searching for an efficient, organized and motivating Jr Site Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.

The Jr Site Manager supervises several projects, guiding as necessary the subtrades so that projects are completed on time, on budget and with high quality workmanship. Working independently, you will correspond with the Director of Project Delivery on a regular basis to discuss the planning, scheduling and close out readiness of projects. Responsibilities:

• Advanced planning, scheduling and monitoring of subtrades
• Ability to anticipate issues and take appropriate corrective action
• Create, assign and track people responsibilities
• Prepare proper documentation and drawings and ensure availability at kick-off
• Understand technical and permit drawings and formal site instructions as issued by Project Manager
• Ability to read blue prints, field drawings and project schedules
• Enforce OH&S guidelines and laws
• Conduct ‘tool box’ talks with trades and staff on site to record and resolve issues

Requirements:

• Experienced in project delivery processes and solid understanding of all construction trades and techniques
• Familiar with project management scheduling
• Minimum 5 years in similar type of construction and renovation work
• Knowledge of project management software, e.g., MAESTRO
• Site safety training and fall arrest
• Supervisor in Construction Training Certification would be an asset
• Current WHMIS Training would be an asset
• Ability to perform miscellaneous carpentry duties would be an asset
