Job description: Horizon is looking to add a full time Landscape Construction Labourer to our Lower Mainland Landscape Construction Division!

The successful candidate will join our Landscape Construction Division working primarily doing hardscape installations. Horizon prides itself on its core values and how they apply to each of our roles, including this one:

Landscape Construction Labourers are Accountable:

  • Safely operate equipment, tools and vehicles on our sites and around the public
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your work areas at all times.
  • Ask for help if you do not understand the details of technical reports, blueprints and other construction documentation.
  • Safely use-or ask for assistance to learn to safely use-power tools, heavy machinery (Mini excavator and Skid steers), cut off saws and tampers
  • Be punctual and always wear your PPE.

Landscape Construction Labourers are Genuine.

Landscape Construction Labourers are Determined.

  • Able to lift 50+lbs consistently.
  • Able to work in inclement weather in dirty, construction environments.

Compensation:

  • Wages Based on Skills Assessment ($22+/hr)

  • Biannual Bonuses based on the company hitting budgets.

  • Education support if you choose to pursue your Red Seal.
  • Post-Secondary Trades Education/Red Seal (completion or working towards) an asset (Additional $2/hr for completing Red Seal)
  • HTE an asset (additional $1/hr for a valid Heavy Trailer Endorsement)

  • Steel-Toed Boots
  • Reliable Transportation (Employees are required to get themselves to site. Not all jobsites are on a bus route and carpooling is not organized by the company)
  • Physically able to frequently lift 30-60lbs.
