Description:

The Department of Medical Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is recruiting a full-time clinician-teacher radiologist in the Abdominal Division. The start date is July 1, 2023 or sooner.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) is a fully affiliated hospital of the University of Toronto with over 1,212 total beds, of which 677 are dedicated to acute care. SHSC houses The Odette Cancer Centre, one of the largest comprehensive cancer programs in the country and Canada’s first and largest trauma program. The radiology practice is composed of more than 40 subspecialty radiologists. The candidate will be a central team member in the division of Abdominal Imaging and must have an advanced fellowship in Abdominal Imaging, preferably with advanced MR and image-guided procedural skills. This individual is expected to take on a key contributing role in all areas of Abdominal Imaging, however, experience and interest in Genito-Urinary or Women’s/Obstetric imaging are highly desirable. Track record of academic achievement is required either related to Clinical Research and/or Education. The successful candidate may receive protected academic time, commensurate to the level of experience and track record. The candidate will be an integral part of the teaching faculty of our undergraduate and postgraduate (Residency and Fellowship) programs and actively supervise their research as a Clinician Investigator.

The qualified applicant should be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, hold a Fellowship in Diagnostic Imaging from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent, and be eligible for medical licensure in the Province of Ontario, with sufficient experience to perform subspecialty work in Abdominal Imaging. Recognized fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging (1-year minimum) post-graduation is essential.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Compensation is based on fee for service model, with opportunity for increased salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
