Robust Transport Services Ltd.- a licensed and bonded freight shipping and trucking company running freight hauling business from Abbotsford, British Columbia is looking for “Long Haul ” who is dependable, trustworthy and having commitment to provide quality service. The details are as below:
Position:20 Long Haul Truck Drivers (Full Time/ Permanent) Salary: 25.25/hr for 50-60 hrs/week Education: High School Credentials: Driver’s License BC Class 1 or AZ, Air Brake Adjustment Certificate Experience: Previous experience is an asset. On job training will be provided Languages: Read, Write and Speak English Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor Trailer Type of Travel: Long-haul, National, International Specific Skills: Driver must be able to drive as 2 person team. Documentation Knowledge: Knowledge of Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, enroute, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports
Duties to be performed: Driver must also be able to drive an articulated truck to transport goods and materials, loading and unloading goods, plan travel schedules and routes, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes and other equipment. Also perform brake adjustments, monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness and perform preventative maintenance. Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers. Willing to travel for extended periods
