Job description: Job purpose

• To operate injection molding machines in accordance to work instructions and quality alerts.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years’ previous plastic injection mold machine operator experience strong asset
• 1+ year previous experience in industrial manufacturing production (i.e.: metal stamping)

• Physically able to stand, sit and walk for long periods, perform repetitive lifting 30lbs-50lbs (pounds), overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
• Possess effective communication and organizational skills; English spoken, written and oral

RESPONSIBILITIES, however not limited to:

• Control operations of the press
• Remove product from press and/or from conveyor belt, inspect, sort, trim, assemble and/or package plastic molded parts from injection molding machines
• Measure, test product in holding fixtures and visually inspect products
• Pack them in appropriate packaging; label product packaging with proper ID label
• Perform assembly or sub-assembly of product
• Complete daily production sheets ensuring accuracy
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Must have completed Grade 12 education or equivalency

Hourly wage rate and Shift information:
$16.00 + applicable shift premium

• Day/Afternoon shift rotation – 2 weeks each
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime may be Mandatory – will be scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays
• Some shifts may run longer and than scheduled end time
• Day: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• Afternoon: TBD
• $1.00 shift premium when on the Afternoon shift
• 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break, two (2) paid 15 minute breaks

• Midnight shift steady – Sunday to Thursday
• $1.50 shift premium for this midnight shift
• Overtime may be Mandatory – will be scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights
