Description
The Manager Channels Analytics is responsible for developing automated, scalable reporting and analytical solutions for Canadian Personal & Business Banking. This position will support omni-channel analytics through delivery of insights, reporting and measurement in line with Enterprise strategy and Digital Acceleration.
The incumbent will manage partner relationships and act as data and analytics subject matter expert for the Digital Channels portfolio with focus on wealth analytics. This position requires the combination of business and technology acumen to generate value add insights and maintain reporting in various forms (ad-hoc analyses, data visualization, self-serve BI).
Specific Accountabilities
- Work proactively and collaboratively with various Digital product owners to build analytics and reporting capabilities
- Data curation – extracting data from multiple sources, manipulating and validation using database tools. Must have SAS, SQL skills and experience
- Identify, analyze and interprets trends of patterns in complex data set. Analyze data to drive business decisions and actionable recommendations
- Assimilate and analyze information from a variety of sources, make recommendations and present information in an easy and understandable manner
- Develop in-depth understanding of BMO data and systems (IDP, CAD, CDW, Adobe)
- Comfortable with ambiguity – self-learner able to independently navigate complex data
- Build Power BI Dashboards from scratch and maintain existing reporting
- Quality check key deliverables, ensuring they are delivered accurately and to the highest quality
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 5+ years experience in business intelligence/ ETL, analytics
- 5+ years experience in Finance industry
- Strong experience within data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets including but not limited to SQL, SAS, R/Python
- Experience implementing data visualization (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau)
- Strong logical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Willingness to learn and being curious;
- Ability to perform on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight timelines Experience with BMO data and familiarity with BMO products and operations
Requirements
- A university degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, econometrics, engineering, computer science, physics
