Job title: Manager, Engineering
Job description: The Engineering Manager leads a technical team and has overall responsibility for the successful delivery of telecommunications engineering projects. They oversee the entire Engineering team, from Engineers, EITs, Coordinators, to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high-quality standard. The Engineering Manager will be accountable with the creation of the overall plan to build a team and deliver a high volume of design projects. The Engineering Manager provides leadership to strategically manage risk, monitor finances, and ensure each phase of work is started and completed on time. The ideal Engineering Manager will possess well rounded telecom engineering knowledge, leadership abilities, relationship management skills, and is able to grow a team of designers. They will provide coaching and technical guidance to the Engineering team.

Work Duties
- Lead, develop and supervise our Quebec and Maritimes Engineering team.
- Establish material standards, work allocation, resource loading and scheduling.
- Be proactive in the development of team members, advise, lead, and motivate team members, assess capability, identify, and resolve training/skill requirements, be involved in disciplinary issues.
- Ability to lead from the front, driving pace accuracy and standards.
- Working with project managers to ensure schedules and timelines are achieved.
- Interact with clients, including developing new and existing relationships.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience as a Professional Engineer.
- Proven success in leading high-performance teams, achieving results through others and being a strong team player.
- Telecommunications Engineering experience. Roof-top design experience would be an asset.
- Proficient AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel, etc.), and Adobe.
- Ability to demonstrate communication skills necessary for conflict management and resolution.
- Capability to inspire and influence both your team and our executive leadership.
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy and have a positive attitude.
- Must be able to manage a team in both the office environment and remotely.
Working Conditions
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
