Leader: Director, Entrepreneurial Growth

As ATB’s next Manager, Entrepreneurial Growth (Education Programming) you will help further differentiate ATB in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing, scaling and executing ATB’s “ATB X” program (more below), and, in collaboration with the entrepreneurial growth team, developing new programs and content that meet the educational needs of Alberta’s entrepreneurs through all stages of their business journey. The primary focus of the Entrepreneurial Growth team is to establish ATB as THE bank of choice for Alberta businesses, with the programs in this portfolio helping achieve that goal.

The Manager, Entrepreneurial Growth will have experience as an entrepreneur and an in-depth understanding of the entrepreneurial journey and associated business stages. They will have experience creating and delivering content and have a focus on client experience. They will be both strategic and analytical, and will ensure the programs deliver a positive ROI and deepen client relationships with ATB.

ATB X is a premier education program designed for small, growth-ready businesses. Focused on connecting business founders with a system of support to help meet their growth goals, a virtual and in-person program is used to provide a highly engaging and interactive experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • ATB X Program Delivery
  • Facilitate three ATB X cohorts annually (approximately 150 clients total)
  • Business coaching and support of ATB X cohort participants
  • Execution of cohorts including:
  • Program promotion and communication
  • Participant recruitment and communication
  • Education/content planning and speakers (internal and external speakers)
  • Overall program coordination and reporting
  • Develop an engagement model to build an alumni community
  • Continue to scale and grow the program to reach more entrepreneurs
  • Data and insights
  • Survey participants
  • Gather feedback from facilitators
  • Ongoing data gathering, analysis, insights gathering and reporting
  • Ensure metrics and outcomes align with ATB strategies
  • New program development
  • Leverage and conduct market / other research and insights to develop new programs that support the entrepreneurial journey and capitalize on new opportunities in the education space. Examples might include programming for specific industries or groups.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Entrepreneur, or a depth of knowledge of an Entrepreneur’s mindset and journey
  • Experience managing multiple programs and projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing small working teams to deliver programs; indirect people management
  • Hosting & Facilitation experience in both digital and in-person settings, up to groups of 20-50 people *will depend on cohort size
  • Connected within the Alberta entrepreneur and small / medium business community – entrepreneurs, content experts, thought leaders
  • Excellent at networking and establishing valuable relationships with individuals and organizations
  • Negotiation and partner management experience an asset
  • Experience creating, building and managing a virtual community; knowledge of online facilitation platforms an asset
  • Some knowledge of digital marketing and social media to drive promotion/engagement
  • Experience working with data to generate insights and produce program reporting
  • Hubspot, UX and UI experience an asset
