The Manager, Finance & Administration is responsible for managing the execution of financial reporting and analysis to support the operation and business activities. Also responsible for managing Finance team. Monitors cashflow to satisfy operational and capital requirements, ensures financial controls, prepares periodic reporting of results, supervises direct reports, and prepares forecasts throughout the year. Leads, coordinates, and reviews detailed annual budget.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial control and ensure all financial reporting obligations are met in a timely manner, including all monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting requirements
- Prepare and review detailed budgets and lead budget planning process
- Recommend and implement financial and operational cost controls for PTI, and monitor control of capital employed
- Manage and coordinate external audits
- Manage cash flow/treasury – forecast inbound/outbound cash flows; create cash and debt positions; daily cash/credit management, and risk management
- Work with AON and CFO on bonding and insurance, and with BMO for letter of credit contracts
- Assist CFO in managing and overseeing corporate tax requirements
- Develop strong working relationships with financial institutions, auditors, governmental authorities, and insurance broker
- Contribute to business planning process and strategy development and deployment initiatives
- Provide advice/support during bid/RFP response development from quotation process through to shipping
- Coordinate postmortem project review with General Manager, Engineering, QA, and Operations Managers on units with significant quote vs. actual variances
- Develop and manage departmental budget
- Supervise Finance staff, conduct performance reviews, and mentor staff development
- Help ensure Quality and Environmental Management System processes (QMS/EMS) are established, implemented, and maintained
- Promote continuous improvement
- Perform according to company’s certified ISO standards

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or related field.
- CPA designation
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior capacity in preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with business, audits, process management, and financial institution relations
- Knowledge of Canadian GAAP (ASPE) and corporate tax
- Experience leading accounting staff
- Proven strategic planning experience at the management level
- Strong knowledge of Office Suite and SAP
