Manager, Finance & Tax

This position will work collaboratively with other members of the team, as well as SYNNEX’s tax department and finance teams, to perform various duties, as outlined below.

  • Provide an environment which fosters teamwork, individual development and excellence
  • Coordinate and support corporate income tax compliance and planning processes
  • Preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, information returns, and election forms
  • Calculation and remittance of income tax instalments and final payment
  • Forecast income taxes and calculate effective tax rate
  • Current and deferred income tax provision calculations
  • Tax exposure analysis and reserve calculations
  • Tax rollforwards and reconciliations
  • Interact with other related entities and coordinate transfer pricing documentation
  • Research, review, and draft tax technical memos and make recommendations for various income tax related matters
  • Other tax-related matters, including tax audits, queries, notices of objection, etc.
  • Provide tax support and advice to business units
  • Ensure general sales taxes compliances
  • Maintain tax rates, tables, and logics in enterprise system
  • Manage sales taxes reporting, filings, and remittances
  • Oversee government tax audits
  • Research and make recommendations for various sales tax related issues
  • Provide tax support and advice to business units
  • Ensure environmental recycling program compliances for all provinces
  • Oversee program reporting / filing / fee remittances
  • Interact with business partners on program roll outs, etc.
  • Provide advice and support to business units on queries related to environmental recycling programs
  • Coordinate external regulators’ audits
  • Provide support in treasury related matters like daily approvals
  • Provide inputs on improving cash forecasting
  • Provide support in treasury reporting to outside financial institutions.

Your passion is sparked by:

  • Minimum post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance, coupled with one to three years of supervisory experience
  • Strong working experiences in Tax & Treasury such as income tax and commodity tax
  • Knowledge of Canada’s environmental recycling program is preferred
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills, able to set a positive example and be a role model
  • Computer literate, along with knowledge of SAP; knowledge of Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Ability to extrapolate information to make decisions independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deadline oriented; available to work extended hours to achieve all objective and deadlines
