Job description: *Human Resources*: * Perform a lead role in the development, implementation and monitoring of the strategic and directional plans of the company as they relate to people issues * Develop, implement, update and monitor company policies, procedures and programs * Direct and manage all employee relations, compensation, recruiting, performance management, organizational design and payroll activities * Manage employee benefits programs, recommending changes as required based on annual reviews of the competitive position of the plans compared to industry practice * Manage, monitor and ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and company policies, practices and procedures affecting the organization * Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times by developing and enforcing company H&S standards and following up on action items * Prepare annual HR budget and monitor budget to actual performance, reporting on variance analysis * Develop career development and succession plans and other initiatives for employee retention programs * Advise and coach the management team on the interpretation and administration of policies, programs and best practices * Plan, develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive HRIS to provide relevant information to the corporate decision making processes * Establish and maintain company’s compensation evaluation system and grade structure, making recommendations to salary range changes based on yearly reviews of market and economic conditions * Develop, implement, update and monitor HR metrics/KPIs * Manage immigration program for executive coordinators transferring from Korea *Administration*: * Develop, implement, update and monitor policies, procedures and programs * Determine facility requirements and make recommendations to senior management * Make recommendations on space planning and physical layout * Analyze requirements for office equipment/furniture and recommend most cost effective and efficient * Prepare annual Admin budget and monitor budget to actual performance, reporting on variance analysis * Other duties as assignedMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual’s status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled and all other qualified applicants * Minimum 5 years of being awesome * Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience * Minimum 5 years Human Resources Management experience * Degree in HR or related discipline * Attainment of CHRL designation an asset * Demonstrated ability to multi-task, analyze, and problem solve complex issues in a fast-paced and changing environment * Ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations * Ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks and projects and follow through to completion * Aptitude to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing, to a wide scope of potential audiences * Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, organization and planning skills * Results oriented work style with advanced analytical skills * Familiarity with using metrics to measure and report progress * Ability to work independently as well as work in, and lead a team * Demonstrated experience with coaching and developing employees and managers * Ability to deal with people compassionately, diplomatically, and professionally at all times Our client, located in Markham, is a technological leader in the automotive industry focusing on the distribution of parts for global automobile manufacturers.
