tHE rOLE:

Core skills include project management, leadership, and a breadth of technology experience supporting medium to large businesses. Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to a broad audience in simplistic, easy-to-understand terms and influence key decision-makers.

Acting initially as a department of one, this hands-on role requires the incumbent to manage our users and network infrastructures, track and manage all IT assets, provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, set up workstations, and manage telephone infrastructure and cell plans.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
  • Plans, organizes and implements technical projects.
  • Experience migrating off legacy systems and developing strategic roadmaps to modernize the infrastructure
  • Must be able to recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Provide technical support to internal customers to ensure each is able to work at optimal capacity, free of any IT-related limitations
  • Effective and efficient triaging and solving all IT issues based on importance, topic, and urgency
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Install and configure software and hardware; manage network servers, cloud services and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations, including desktop/laptop setup troubleshooting, installation and configuration
  • Ensure security and business continuity through access controls, backups, firewalls and hardware tracking
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization IT standards.
  • Proactively identify and communicate application issues to leaders and the team as needed
  • Manage the organization’s phone system and cell phone plans
  • Cloud backup management, permission management and upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Build IT team; inspire, develop and support team members to drive high performance and team engagement
  • Manage multiple subcontractors and vendors on various projects
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology or other related field, and 10+ years’ experience in IT management and leadership, managing direct reports & team building, conducting evaluations and new hire experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of servers, networking, storage and cloud services (cloud storage, Office 365) for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
  • Microsoft Gold Competency
  • Experience in
  • Able to design systems and solutions using industry best-practice
  • Provide consultation on networking solutions (wireless, routers, and firewall) to provide core infrastructure services
  • Experience migrating off legacy systems and developing strategic roadmaps to modernize the infrastructure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric attitude; maintain a high degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness; able to work well and prioritize competing priorities under pressure
  • Extensive experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating environments, including Active Directory, integration with Azure, and cloud services-this includes supporting the suite of Office365 applications such as Teams and SharePoint
  • Enthusiastic with a commitment to learn; ambition to improve skill set and knowledge base
  • Ability to craft, develop and implement policies and procedures, documenting the infrastructure and creating work instructions, workflows, and disaster recovery planning
  • Ability to respond to support requests during non-core office hours
