What you’ll be doing

  • Maintain the Homewood data network, servers and fire-wall configuration
  • Select, integrate and maintain the telephonic needs across Homewood
  • Maintain and manage vendor relationships & services
  • Recommend, deploy and maintain network solutions to Homewood offices nationally
  • Ensure VPNs, servers and firewalls are maintained and secured
  • Provide technical support for complex issues for internal and external users and vendors
  • Ensure the integrity and performance of all network solutions and shared network devices
  • Develop and support national standards for voice and data system tools
  • Standardize electronic communication tools across Homewood
  • Review annual evolution of user needs and business processes
  • Support the needs for application installation and management, developing an annual budget for infrastructure and system administration
  • Coordinate proposals for equipment, software and plans for accompanying education and technical assistance
  • Determine need for equipment, space, hardware
  • Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning
  • Provide recommendations regarding system administration in relation to business plans
  • Ensure services for telecom, VOIP, long distance and toll free are optimized
  • Apply solid operations and project management processes and practices
  • Facilitate the development of systems, products and processes that support excellent quality of service
  • Integrate sustainable practices into business operations

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management disciplines
  • 6-8 years of experience in Information Technology, systems and networks
  • 5 years’ experience in IT team management
  • Any industry standard certifications from VMware, AWS, Security and/or Microsoft
  • Strong commitment to providing high levels of customer service to both internal and external customers, leading to high customer satisfaction and established relationships
  • Excellent people management skills to motivate a well-performing team
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills, including project planning
  • Proficiency with Office 365 administration, Active Directory, VPN, Windows and Linux Operating Systems, Firewalls, Security software, Disaster Recovery and Backup and Networking

This is not a remote role, and you will be required to be in the office daily, and attention emergencies as the Manager.
