Job title: Manager of Finance
Job description: Our not-for-profit client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support them during a period of transition. This role will start out on a 3-month contract with long-term potential.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director you will:
– Manage all aspect of full-cycle accounting, including journal entries to the General Ledger, reconciliations, month-end and year-end financial statements, statutory reporting, and monthly management reporting and analytics
– Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
– This role is also responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and assisting with audits
– Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring for a team 2 staff members
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated Finance Manager (CPA or equivalent), with at least 5+ years of experience. You are comfortable managing a team and have several years of experience in the not-for-profit sector.
In addition to the above, the following skills are also desired:
– Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including various government agencies
– Detail-oriented personality to handle both transactional accounting and finance work, as well as strategic planning and risk management activities
– Ability to management multiple priorities on-hand
