Overview
Mastercard’s Cyber and Intelligence Solutions organization develops and delivers world-class security products and services for customers across the globe. NuData Security, a Mastercard company, is an award-winning company that predicts fraudulent transactions by identifying good users from bad ones based on their online behaviour. By analyzing over 38 billion behaviours annually, NuData harnesses the power of behavioural and biometric analysis, letting clients predict fraud before a critical decision, reduce customer insult, and investigate bad actors efficiently.
NuData Security is looking for a Technical Manager to lead our team of engineers responsible for our leading behavioural and fraud analysis product – NuDetect.
In this role, you will:
- Promote engineering best practices and instill a team culture built on curiosity and collaboration
- Manage, mentor, and grow engineers on the team, helping them advance their skillsets and careers
- Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to build and deploy iterative solutions
- Be a vital part of the scrum team and participate in requirements review/story elaborations, design, coding and code reviews to deliver high-quality products
- Help team maintain focus on current priorities and commitments while promoting core values of Agile software development
- Collaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to drive department-wide objectives
Essential Knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrated leadership in a technical environment
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices including architecture, design, coding standards, source control management, build processes, testing, operations
- Full understanding of SDLC & Agile principles
- Expert-level development experience with at least one object-oriented language (PHP, Java, C#, C++, Python)
- Knowledge of QA automation & CI/CD best practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- Prior experience as a people manager in a technical environment
- Experience building high-scale, global products with cloud providers
- Experience with AWS
- Experience/interest in fraud detection and security
