About the Team You will join as the manager of Team Nova to help drive and build best in class user experiences for the Knowledge Management product. This is one of two teams that helps build and maintain a native knowledge base that empowers our customers to create, categorize, maintain, track, and secure articles.

About the Role

You will be responsible for executing on the product vision, working closely with the Product Manager and other stakeholders to scope, refine and break down projects, ensuring a high level of quality and timely delivery of these projects. You will be guiding the day-to-day technical work of the team, focusing on sound architecture, quality and building the right things, the right way.

As part of Team Nova you will:

Be the people leader for 4+ engineers of various disciplines and experience levels

Provide guidance to members of your team, knowing when to coach and when to mentor

Use your technical expertise to contribute towards building a best-in-class product

Set your team up for success by removing obstacles and supporting their personal and professional growth

Collaborate with the Product Manager to plan and prioritize work on your team’s roadmap

Be a member of the wider Engineering leadership team, meeting regularly with peers from other teams to discuss best practices and challenges

Be a strong advocate for the development process, engineering best practices, quality and culture of continuous improvement

About You

Basic Qualifications

3+ years experience designing and building scalable enterprise software

Strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to work smoothly with both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate across organizational boundaries

Experienced in working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment using Scrum successfully

Other Qualifications

2+ years of experience managing teams within a large development organization

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Experience in leading software design for distributed scalable systems

Passion for software development and building a strong engineering team

Ability to hire, empower and inspire the team
