This role manages teams that are focused on identifying and delivering continual opportunities for our accountable partners based on deep-driven data analytics. The successful candidate will plan, prioritize and deliver solutions that represent the best value technology spend while observing technology governance within prescribed limits. Acting as a trusted advisor to our key stakeholders to realize quick wins and shape a multi-year roadmap to simply and re-imagine operational processes while working to humanize the Employee technology experience. Shares extensive technical and operational knowledge in an effective, responsible and timely manner to aid in business productivity and works proactively to identify opportunities to increase technological resiliency as well as managing demand for data support for our business partners while delivering on time and on budget, adhering to required standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
  • Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Identifies quick wins and shapes a multi-year data strategy roadmap for measuring the P&BB technology experience.
  • Manages intake process to prioritize projects and mobilize appropriate partner teams to aid in execution where needed.
  • Leads the development of business cases identifying needs, analyzing potential options and assessing expected return on investment for continual process improvement opportunities.
  • Breaks down strategic problems and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks the performance of teams and deliverables within the team’s accountabilities
  • Leads the development of and reviews estimates for continual improvement opportunities including delivery schedule, work effort and cost using established estimating models, best practices and past experience.
  • Works in coordination with our partners to deliver on identified use-cases and requests.
  • Ensures the effective planning and control of unit operating expenses in accordance with established forecasts meeting in-place KPIs
  • Leads the execution of operational programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.
  • Develops and manages comprehensive information Business Support management systems; designs and/or leads initiatives to improve processes, analysis and reporting
  • Oversees the design, development, and implementation of the workforce plan including training required to deliver team results.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance resolving any issues.
  • Reviews the team regularly for effectiveness, considers industry trends and recommends enhancements; makes changes as required.
  • This individual will be working in a collaborative, professional, and friendly environment. MS Teams is available throughout the day for team members to communicate. Teams are very supportive of one another.

Core Knowledge:

  • Possesses a university degree/college diploma and/or 7+ years relevant experience in related field of study.
  • 5 years of knowledge in performance management, project management and/or analytics.
  • Skilled working with BI tools such as Power BI, Hadoop-based data mining frameworks and/or relational data bases.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python and/or DAX.
  • Possesses expert analytical skills for complex problem solving.
  • Able to manage multiple and potentially competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional relationship and people management skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Experience in working effectively with different technology and business teams
  • Experience in Agile Methodology and related tools and technologies would be deemed an asset.
  • Able to adapt and quickly develop in-depth technical understanding of new/different applications and technology platforms.
  • Able to work independently understanding the best interests of business and technology partners.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
  • Verbal & written communication skills – In-depth / Expert.

  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration – In-depth / Expert.
  • Able to manage ambiguity.

  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL framework; Problem Management, Change Management, Incident, Configuration, Release Management and the ServiceNow application.
  • Empathetic leader with established people management skills.
  • Previous financial institution experience.
  • Previous experience working with business intelligence and book of record tools such as MS Excel, Power BI and ServiceNow.
  • Attention to detail and process driven.
