Our client, a leading provider of end of the line packaging systems with over 50 years within Canada and globally, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support in the Whitby manufacturing workshop.
As a Mechanical assembler, you will be responsible for interpreting technical documents and assembling components of machines for end of the line packaging systems. As an added benefit, there is opportunity for internal movement into a service technician role within a short period of time for the right candidate. This would require travel to client sites for maintenance and repair, allowing for exposure to new environments and time out of office and on the road.
This shift will be Monday to Friday 8.30am- 5.00pm, a 40-hour work week. The pay scale will be based on experience starting at $25 per hour and up. You will be eligible for benefits after the probationary period of 3 months.
As an ideal candidate you will bring 1- 3 years of relevant experience. A post-secondary education in a Mechanical/Electrical field would be an asset as well as the ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings. You must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for service travel as well as have tools like wrenches, an allen key set, a hammer and pliers etc.
