In your role, you will:

• Be responsible for the analysis of the cabin furnishings and systems against the applicable airworthiness requirements and for the preparation of design compliance reports
• Work closely with other teams within the engineering group and provide leadership and advice on certification requirements and interpretations thereof related to occupant safety
• Conduct investigations of technical issues, regulations, and associated guidance material
• Be the primary liaison between the occupant safety team and Transport Canada delegates
• Resolve issues and address queries with Transport Canada and other authorities
• Support the Airworthiness group with their tasks and deliverables, if required

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

• You have a university degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
• You have relevant experience in and knowledge of certification requirements for aircraft interiors
• You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving
• You are well organized and are project oriented
• You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision
• You demonstrate flexibility by managing changes and unexpected demands with agility
• You also demonstrate an excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success
• You have good communication skills including excellent English writing and verbal skills
• You have leadership
• You are bilingual (French and English) (asset)
• You are knowledgeable of Catia and Autocad (asset)
