Outside Plant Engineering (OPE) has an exciting opportunity for you if you are striving to work in a motivating, dynamic, fast-paced environment as the Outside Plant Engineering Manager. Servicing Atlantic Canada, we are looking for a responsible and passionate manager who will administer, organize, and manage multiple Outside Plant Engineering process and design deliverables. Supporting both our residential and business channels your accountabilities will include:

• OPE team building, process alignment, coaching, performance management and training.
• The continued development of strong, positive relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• The design and permitting of Fiber Network builds including uplift and new area for both residential and commercial units.
• Meeting overall departmental deliverables and goals, including cost analysis, ongoing project forecasting, and budgeting
• Ensuring OPE project milestones are met – deliverables are on time, on budget with quality results.
• Providing quality control and assurance of permits, plans and designs.
• Ensuring Rogers design guidelines are followed and network records are maintained.
• Fostering the use of Rogers, CSA, Utility and local municipality standards.
• Overseeing and maintaining local municipal relations, and regulatory affairs.
• Adherence to all applicable Health and Safety regulations, in accordance with legislation and related Company policy.

What you will bring:

• Post-Secondary Education preferably in a technical or engineering discipline
• Related experience with Cable Outside Plant Engineering (5-10 years)
• Knowledge of CSA standards, related municipal by-laws, regulations and utility standards
• Knowledge of RF and fibre optic architecture and the planning/project management processes
• Commitment to quality performance and teamwork across multiple disciplines
• Detail oriented with an aptitude for tracking progress across many disciplines and capable of balancing the “big picture” with meeting the day-to-day needs of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in strategy, planning, coaching and mentoring.
• Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work streams.
• General understanding of the company’s overall business operations and products.
• The Successful candidate can work out of Newfoundland or New Brunswick
