Job description: Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Piping Construction Coordinator! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, and a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7.

This candidate will be responsible to manage the construction coordination between contractors, sub-contractors, engineering, procurement and clients. In this very exciting role, the individual will support the effective execution of the works by implementing the safety plan, managing worker interfaces and ensuring procurement is aligned with construction schedule.

Job Duties:
– Enforce the safety plan, schedule control and monitoring and ensure the in-progress work meets quality requirements and progress measurement
– Highlight potential issues to execution
– Review and understand P6 schedules, contract and drawings
– Review contractor progress against actual data gathered independently from actual field measurements
– Work with 3D model viewers (Smart Plant Review and Smart Plant Construction)

Qualifications:
– Journeyman Pipefitter
– 10+ years of industrial experience
– 5+ supervisor experience in mechanical and piping fields
– Strong working knowledge of piping equipment codes, standards, principals and procedures
– CET preferred
